We value our guests and know how important your vacation plans to the Emerald Coast are to you. We share and understand your concern about the media hype of oil nearing the Florida panhandle beaches; therefore we want to assure you that your reservation and vacation plans are NOT AT RISK.

Regretfully we cannot control the oil and are not responsible for it, but we understand the possibility for scattered residue to eventually reach the Destin area, but it is uncertain when, or if, this might happen to our beaches. For now, all we can do is assure you that we will waive cancellation penalties should the US Coast Guard close our beaches and we will also waive restrictions during your stay should this happen.

Please do not hesitate to call prior to initiating your travel to Destin so we can provide a current update of the situation.
If you are at the SummerPlace, and the USCG closes our beaches and you desire to depart, the balance of your stay will be cancelled with no charge or fees of any kind.
Should our beaches be closed by the USCG we will waive all cancellation rules/penalties should you decide to revise your vacation plans.

The Emerald Coast and Destin are oil free as of today with no immediate threat of oil on our beaches. As the General Manager of the hotel I am working daily with local officials to ensure we have accurate information on our beach and water conditions and personally assure you that we in turn will keep our guests informed with the most up to date information we have. Information may be also be found at noaa.gov. Rest assured your vacation to the Emerald Waters will still be amazing and relaxing. We look forward to seeing you soon!
